Lord Almighty, 3 months into this Covid-19 Pandemic and all Nicola can do is allow us to meet two other households outdoors and, oh, you can go indoors to use the bog as long as you clean it thoroughly after you! It's a national embarrassment. Compare Covid progress in Scotland with its neighbour across the North Channel in Ireland and you're comparing night with day.
We now have the scientists focusing on the 2-metre rule. Well, she has succeeded if you consider rabid authoritarianism and petty rule-making to be the forte of the SNP. She's in her element ruling by decree, something that is always, but always, but always the hallmark of illiberal and authoritarian nationalists the world over. Think of Nazi Germany, Communist Russia and modern-day China. Ruling by decree is tailor-made for Nicola and she is determined to hang on to it for as long as she possibly can.
Remember, perchance, her infamous Named Person legislation which the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom decreed was way beyond anything that was permissible by law? We certainly do. Remember also her Offensive Behaviour At Football And Threatening Communications (Scotland) Act 2012, since struck down by the Scottish Parliament? We certainly remember that also. And now we have Nicola's Hate Crime And Public Order (Scotland) Bill currently making heavy weather through Holyrood.
But who the hell is advising Nicola if, indeed, anyone? We know Nicola lost her foremost medical adviser at an early stage when the adviser went AWOL to her second home in Fife but she was replaced by a medical man who, probably quite rightly, keeps a low profile. The same cannot be said, however, for the 'National Clinical Director', Professor Jason Leitch, who is never off the airwaves. If the rest of Scotland is like us, they switch off with a mouthful the moment they hear Leitch speak.

This Scottish Government is pathetic with not a soul therein capable of seeing the bigger picture. Political myopia, such as nationalism, always looks inwards, never outwards. Of course, you're simply incapable of focusing on priorities, particularly in times of crisis, when your entire being has for years been nothing other than Independence. Education was a scandal long before Covid as, indeed, were Health and Policing - and not to mention anything about Scotland being the highest-taxed part of the United Kingdom. These scandals remain and will remain while this present lot retain power.
Scotland will take many years to recover from this company of fools. Nicola's regulations are a basket case, and she has made Scotland a basket case also.
