Today, Melinda at the Gazette gives some crazy spiel about the sale of what has become known as Katie Morag's House, or, more correctly, Katie Morag's Ruin. Melinda must have taken the lead from one Magnus Llewellin, supposedly editor of The Herald newspaper, who, last week, gave an identical spiel. In our view, only a fool would follow Magnus - but that's another issue.
Our mole in our neighbouring village of TC, where the property is situated, tells us that the property has been 'For Sale' for at least a year and has, allegedly, been 'Under Offer' for most of that time. Just why the property hasn't proceeded from 'Under Offer' to 'Sold' in a year is as mysterious as it is inexplicable.
As we write, the property remains 'Under Offer', exactly as it was a year ago.
