CARLOWAY ESTATE TRUST - IN THE DARK (9)

It is now twelve days since it was announced in the press that Carloway Estate Trust  is to be our new landlord.  We,  like everyone else,  got our information from the media - and nothing whatsoever from Carloway Estate Trust itself.

That is utterly wrong.  The very first thing that Carloway Estate Trust should have done was to inform every household in the area that the Trust was the new landlord.  The Trust  had plenty of time in which to do so in that the first day of May did not,  suddenly,   come upon the Trust out of the blue.
The position,  thus,  is that we know Carloway Estate Trust is  our new landlord - and that's it.  We have no idea whatever who the Trust members and officials are and the only proposals for the future that we know of are those that appear,  haphazard,  in the newspapers,  such as some quite unspecific plans to assume control of the foreshore from The Crown Estate.  What,  precisely,  are our assets?  Also,  do we have an estate factor,  and who is he?

The Carloway Mafia - which extends several miles south of Carloway - is as secretive as ever.  It could teach Lodge Fortrose a thing or three.

We shall have to keep a very close eye on this lot.  From where we stand,  it is shaping up exactly as we thought it would.
