We find little has changed apart from the Carloway Estate Trust Steering Group moving on to a formal ballot to be held later this month.
We remain completely opposed. Without criticising anyone on the Steering Group - in fact quite the opposite, as we are aware of the hard work they have put into the matter - we have far too many Unabashed Chancers already in the community and the thought of such people being given even a modicum of authority fills us with absolute dread. Some are Home-Produced while others have arrived from Distant Shores.
