MP EXPENSES CLAIMS

Going a bit further than simply Angus Brendan MacNeil MP,   we note some of the more audacious claims made by some Honourable Members of Parliament for 2012/13.

Gordon Brown,  former Prime Minister,  claimed 12p (yes,  honestly,  12p) for a glue stick.  Liam Fox,  former Defence Secretary,   claimed a series of 3p in motor expenses. Sandra Osborne,  Labour MP for somewhere in Ayrshire,  claimed for 120 pints of milk - and it wasn't for starving weans either.   Alistair Carmichael,  the new Scottish Secretary,  claimed  38p for a highlighter pen.  Former Scottish Secretary, Michael Moore,  claimed 5p for a pencil sharpener.  Jim Murphy,  also a former Defence Secretary,  claimed £4.80 for a meal at Westminster.  However,  the hungry boy was refused.

Honestly,  until the weekend,  we had completely forgotten that Wee Cathy Jamieson,  former MSP,  is,  in fact,  now an MP.  We were only too well aware of her when she was an MSP and a most useless Holyrood Justice Secretary to boot.  Not to be outdone,  Wee Cathy claimed £169.92 for a sign language interpreter!

This must have been to ensure that the frighteningly  inarticulate Cathy is better understood by her Ayrshire constituents.
