THE REVEREND PROFESSOR (3)

We weren't in the best of form this past week or two for one reason or tother.  Probably excesses in some little degree,  the time of year,  the weather,  or,  most likely,  plain idleness.  We even missed The Reverend Professor last week such was our sloth.

However,  we have just been reminded of his article in last week's West Highland Free Press and,  for probably the first time in our life,  we managed not only to understand a little of  the Professor's homily  but also to agree with some of what he said.  So we can't be all that thick,  can we?

To recap,  the Professor was on about that wild-eyed bogeyman who heads the Catholic Church Media Office in Scotland and his recent outburst in comparing the plight of Catholics in present-day Scotland to blacks in America's past.  However,  and as usual,  Donald didn't stop at simply tearing the bogeyman's arguments to shreds,  he had to go over the top himself also.  But that's Donald.

We wonder how much longer the bogeyman will remain in the employ of his paymasters?  Certainly,  the bishops have been deafening by their silence.
