We are not big-headed enough to think that it was anything we said but this week, yet again, the WHFP comes true to old form with a blistering attack on Highland Liberalism or, more correctly, on those who represent the Liberal Democratic Party at Westminster, namely, (Lord) John Thurso, Charles Kennedy and Danny Alexander.
John Thurso escapes lightly, being described only as a "nonentity", while Charles Kennedy escapes completely. We don't know why as, to us, Charles Kennedy is as ineffectual as they come.
Wrath is saved specially for Danny Alexander and with justification. Here we have the quite extraordinary sight of a Highland Liberal MP acting as Tory government hatchet man for, inter alia, Iain Duncan Smith and George Gideon Osborne. He will never be forgiven in the Highlands and it will be more than interesting to see how many Liberals are returned nationwide come the next General Election. Our own prediction is fewer than ten with, perhaps, the MP for Orkney and Shetland the only one north of The Border.
Time for everyone to bale out of the Liberal Democratic Party.
PS We still cannot follow The Reverend Professor. We think that this week he was on about clerical collars but we are far from sure. What's he taking?
