A GENERAL ELECTION TOMORROW?

The other day,  while doing nothing more important than contemplating our navel,  an acquaintance asked which way would  we vote supposing there was a General Election tomorrow.  It made us think.

Those charlatans that pass as nationalists are out for a start - no serious thinking required there.  The Tory Right ensures that our vote doesn't go that way either so that,  in the absence of a serious fringe candidate,  we have a choice between Liberal and Labour.  Liberal have made one hell of a mess of themselves and come across as completely untrustworthy so that there is a problem with them.  The trouble with Labour,  despite our general socialist background,  is that every time they have been in office since the 1930s  they have left the country well and truly bankrupt - and nothing has changed to this day.  Also, the present Labour leader is untested and  Balls and Brown are far too close for comfort.

It's not easy,  is it?
