There's something going on somewhere that, most certainly, does not augur well for those among us, ie all of us, who rely on lifeline ferries.
David MacBrayne Ltd, the holding company of CalMac Ferries Ltd, last held a Board Meeting on 29 September 2021 - or, at least, if they did hold a Board Meeting, they have yet to tell us, the travelling public, about it. That's some six months now.
The notorious Erik the Dane (Erik Jorgen Ostergaard, if you ask) has been at the helm as Chairman of both companies since the turn of the year. Obviously, he treats his customers with the same contempt as his paymasters - this corrupt and rotten lot of a Scottish Government - do. And let us not forget for a solitary second the role of the vast army of Edinburgh Civil Servants in all of this. Those Civil Servants are the most useless and contemptuous people on earth.
Erik and Nicola thoroughly deserve one another.
