These are trying times for Our Dear Leader, Nicola, or, if you prefer, Wee Burney. It's not just Covid that's on her plate. The stakes have suddenly got higher, a lot higher.
There had always been concern that Our Dear Leader had not told the truth about what, and, more crucially, when, she knew of the complaints against her predecessor as First Minister, Alexander Salmond. It now transpires that she had met with Mr Salmond's former adviser some considerable time before she said that she had. If true, it could, at the very least, amount to a significant breach of the Ministerial Code.
She's in a corner and one which is likely to get tighter. One thing is certain, however, and that is that Mr Salmond will try everything he can to make that corner tighter still.
