CARLOWAY ESTATE TRUST - SECRECY (11) (CONT)

(Continued from CARLOWAY ESTATE TRUST (11) ).
Next,  we have the financials.  The one formal, financial transaction that we can be sure about is that on 15 May the Trust paid The Crown Estate £5,000 for 'various areas of foreshore' between Loch Carloway and Callanish but,  wait for it,  the Pier at Carloway and the Pier at Breasclete were excluded.  In other words,  the Trust paid £5,000 for a few areas of mol lying between the high water mark and the low water mark along the coastline.  The rights to the seabed remain with The Crown Estate so that we cannot,  simply cannot,  understand the thinking or logic behind this transaction. Is someone,  somewhere,  keeping an eye open for the main chance?
Lastly,  we have the problem concerning the extent of the Trust Lands and which,  by normal Community Buy-Out standards,  are meagre and with meagre assets.
The Trust Lands lie mostly west of the Pentland Road to Loch Roag and extend only marginally beyond the Pentland Cross-Roads.  For example,  the Trust Lands do not include Loch Airigh Seibh,  Loch nan Caorach or Loch na Laoigh.  The practical implication is that what has long been known as Mointeach Bhreascleit beyond the Pentland Cross-Roads is not included in Trust Lands.
We have to wonder whether those involved in the purchase of the Estate knew what they were getting in return for other peoples' money. Certainly,  the  Trust electorate is blissfully unaware.  If Carloway Estate Trust turns out to be viable in the way claimed,  we shall eat our boineid.
