We see that another ferry strike is threatened for this coming Friday. We have to go on record and say that we are 100% behind the strikers and however much inconvenience it is going to cause for us islanders. Obviously, the Trot in us lives on.
The strike and, no doubt, further strikes, could be averted very easily by this nationalist government. There is absolutely no need to offer these ferry routes out to privatisation tender - the fraudsters of Serco, of all people - and any government statement to the contrary is, very simply, a lie.
They will live to regret the lie.
