THE BBC (2)

It gets worse,  as these things usually do.  Two senior executives have apparently  "stepped aside" whatever on earth that means.

Already it is clear that the trouble with the Tory peer shambles is at Newsnight programme  level or,  at least,   with the people who make  decisions for the programme.  It appears to us that,  instead of decision-making at the BBC being of a pyramid structure,  it was more in the shape of a basin so that decisions went sideways and outwards rather than upwards and downwards.  With so many posts being Director of This,  Director of That or Director of Something Else,  it was a recipe for disaster.

Despite what happened,  we here on the croft retain full confidence in the BBC which has brought us so much over so many years.  However,  and just like the BBC, we, also, will have to change  decision-making on the croft  lest such misfortune strikes us as well.  We can never decide which sheep to sell or keep.
