Anas Sarwar MSP is Labour Party Leader in Scotland. Labour has just received a terrible thrashing from the electorate at the Holyrood Election held just two days ago.
While, undoubtedly, Keir Starmer's unpopularity with the electorate was a factor in the outcome in Scotland, the bigger problems were (1) Sarwar's telling Starmer to resign only a few weeks back and (2) the fact that Sarwar himself had no policies on display for the electorate. No wonder it went belly-up.
Anas Sarwar has made a dog's breakfast of it and has no option but to resign as Scottish Leader. That's the only honourable course. Make way for Jackie Baillie.
