Well, that's it over for Winnie's dear boy, Fergus, Rural Economy Secretary in The Stalinista's government until just a few days ago. He was quite unceremoniously sacked and is now just another number in the lobby-fodder of the back benches.
However, Fergus's reign is far from finished as far as the media is concerned. In the coming months and years we will hear far more of the names Lex Greensill and Sanjeev Gupta, Fergus's dining-out pals of years gone by. The Scottish Government is liable for a loss of anything up to £500 million after its disastrous venture with this pair of chancers and Fergus is going to carry the can for the fiasco. That much we can predict.
The only issue remaining is how far up the food chain this debacle will reach. We're watching.
