NICOLA'S TURNAROUND DIRECTOR ON £800,000 PER ANNUM !!!! (1)

Ferguson Marine (Port Glasgow) Ltd grew out of the mess left behind by Ferguson Marine Engineering Ltd (FMEL) and its owner,  Jim McColl,  a Monaco-based tax exile.  The new firm is wholly owned by the this rotten Scottish Government,  ie it is nationalised.  

The firm is of great importance to us here in the Outer Hebrides given its impact on the CalMac fleet.  Two CalMac ferries were ordered from FMEL in 2015 - one,  the Glen Sannox,  is far from complete and the other,  the infamous Hull 802,  has yet to have its keel laid.  Their original cost was £97 million;  their cost now is over £200 million.  A scandal if ever there was a scandal,  but back to our story.

Ferguson Marine (Port Glasgow) Ltd is required by law to have a director,  or directors,  just like every other company in the land.  What makes this company particularly special is that one of its directors is paid £800,000 per annum by The Stalinista and her scandal-ridden  government.  Yes,  you read it correctly,  that's £800,000 per annum paid to a director of a nationalised company from public funds!!!!

The director concerned is one Tim Hair,  a Marine Engineer based in Gloucestershire.  His LinkedIn spiel describes him as a 'Transformation Specialist' whatever the hell that is. In the Ferguson Marine company profile,  he is described as the 'Turnaround Director'.  

We have no idea what he is currently turning around.  It certainly isn't the company accounts which were due on 31 March and it's now 18 April!!!!  Perhaps Tim is demanding even more money just for preparing the accounts????

With people like that,  you simply never know.
