The sanctimonius Nicola Sturgeon is the First Minister who, only a few days ago, was demanding the resignation from politics of Margaret Ferrier, the Scottish National Party MP for Rutherglen and Hamilton West. Ms Ferrier is the low-calibre MP who, infamously, addressed the House of Commons and took a crowded train journey back to Scotland while suffering Covid. Stalin's Granny wanted her to resign and, indeed, made several ferocious public announcements to that effect.
Now, it's Stalin's Granny's own turn in the soup. She has admitted that she 'forgot' as to when she first learned of Alex Salmond's peccadilloes. She stated some time ago, to both the Scottish Parliament and its investigatory committee, that she first learned of the matter on 02 April 2018 when Mr Salmond visited her house in Glasgow. Now, it turns out that she knew of the matter in March 2018 when Mr Salmond's former most senior adviser discussed the matter with her in Edinburgh.
It's exactly the sort of bombshell revelation you would conveniently forget, is it not? That is what she expects the public to believe at any rate. MP Ferrier is stupid; the First Minister is an unprincipled, bare-faced liar. Will Stalin's Granny herself now resign? And what are the chances that the First Minister knew about the Salmond allegations long, long before March 2018? As long ago as 20 November 2017, in fact?
The net is closing in - and long before time, we may add - on the most embittered, unscrupulous, unprincipled politician we have ever come across.
