Another day, and another televised performance from Nicola. My, how she is enjoying the Covid limelight with all eyes trained on her. It's become an illness with her. That's what these things do. She simply cannot resist a television camera or, indeed, any other camera (just like someone in our own midst).
We are still far from sure what the point of yesterday's performance was apart from Limelight on Nicola. The only thing we picked from it was that you can now get a haircut from 15 July.
However, it's still the 2-metre rule, the most important factor of all in getting the economy moving again. Only yesterday, we heard Professor Hugh Pennington of Aberdeen - the most distinguished bacteriologist in the world and a man with no axe to grind with anyone - say that 'there is no scientific reason' for the 2-metre rule. But, Nicola just HAS to be different from England as, otherwise, Boris Johnson would get all the televised attention, wouldn't he?
Covid in Scotland is all about Nicola - and bugger the economy. History will be very unkind to her and no wonder.
