Lord Almighty, how The Herald is continuing to mangle Basic English Spelling and Grammar. No wonder its once-grand circulation has shrunk to under 20,000. This newspaper just cannot be taken seriously.
We are told that earlier in the week - Monday 27 January, in fact - the paper led its front page with an article by one Martin Williams about Scotland's crumbling coastline or something similar. In the article, Mr Williams wrote about what 'Professor Jim Harrison, principle researcher of the Dynamic Coast project', had to say about the threat.
Today, that same Martin Williams is at it again, this time spelling Glasgow's famous Argyle Street as 'Argyll Street'. Again, in a front page article!!! Where the hell do they get them from?
The Herald was, at one time, a newspaper of repute. It is now the Bible of climate change protesters, dilettanti, feeble-minded nationalists, the brown bread and sandals brigade, deranged letter-writers, social workers and such types - not to mention the last refuge of journalists who simply cannot spell.
It's an embarrassment.
