We may have had a bit of fun with Editor Ian a week or two back over the bourach he got into over parliamentary and local government boundary reform but, this week, Ian gave a masterclass performance over Brexit in particular and Referendums in general while, simultaneously, cementing his position as almost on a par with Macuilliam Himself for journalistic brilliance. Credit where credit is due.
Ian is strongly opposed to Referendums and, quite like ourselves, he wants to see them gone forever. Ian's logic is that Referendums 'have been divisive and deceitful and have thrown open the field where rogues and demagogues thrive and reason is drowned in lies and bluster'. We couldn't agree more. Has this country ever seen such a ghastly collection of scoundrels as most of those now clamouring for Brexit?
