WEST HIGHLAND FREE PRESS (14)

This story just keeps running and running.

Today,  we have one Paul Wood,  apparently managing director of the WHFP,  telling the world at large that 'we have made mistakes'  and that the paper deserved 'a tidal wave of criticism'  in the manner it gave the chop to its two star columnists,  The Reverend Professor and Macuilleam Himself.  Paul then goes on to talk about hindsight etc and the extraordinary statement that 'we can only apologise to our readers,  our community and our friends.   If the result of making mistakes seriously damages all the good the Free Press does,  this would be a terrible pity'.

We had never previously heard of Paul who obviously thinks only long after the horse has bolted.  It's not hindsight a newspaper needs,  Paul,  it's foresight,  man!!!!
