POLICE SCOTLAND (7)

Today,  we are aghast at the story of the 65 year old woman who found herself in front of the beak at Dundee Sheriff Court on a charge of  'assaulting' her husband and striking him on the head with a paper magazine over a row as to what to watch on the telly!!    Four police officers attended the house - and the poor lady spent two nights in police cells prior to her court appearance!!

Needless to say,  she was admonished.  A Crown Office spokesman said afterwards 'domestic abuse is never trivial and our prosecutors take it extremely seriously - there is no place for it and no excuse for it'.

Should we not be inordinately proud of the madmen in charge of the police - and also the madmen in charge of our prosecution system?
