We were rather perplexed yesterday to read a letter in the "Gazette" from one Dr DC Wilson of TC. When we say we were perplexed, it is probably more correct to say that the letter itself was perplexing, no doubt partly caused by our own very limited faculties of understanding.
However, if we understood the letter correctly, Dr Wilson was on about cuts to the Comhairle's budget, something that is standard across councils in the UK. In short, the Comhairle was one hundred per cent wrong in what it was doing while Dr Wilson's SNP mates on the Comhairle were one hundred per cent right in what they were proposing. Why the "Gazette" printed such party-political nonsense is quite beyond us.
To remind ourselves : Dr Wilson is the latest incomer to TC and whose feet had hardly touched the cruach-mhonach before he sought election as an SNP councillor - in Harris of all places - and quietly buggered off to the Himalayas a week before polling day!!!. Honestly!
