Serious trouble is brewing this Monday morning for The Wee Man with a lot of nationalist MSPs coming out of the woodwork against his plan to join NATO, something that has long been against nationalist policy. The proposal to join NATO is, of course, the realisation that, come independence, the country would be defenceless and one must do something, however bizarre, to convince the public about defence in the meantime. For our part, this is just another example of the nationalists, under The Wee Man's leadership, confirming that they are just another shower of spivs forever flying by the seats of their pants.
Quite what NATO has to say to this proposal we don't know and it does, of course, have to be agreed at the nationalists' autumn conference. One of those strongly opposed is one Jean Urquhart, of whom we had never heard hitherto but whom, we understand, is a "List" MSP for the Highlands and Islands.
What do Angus Brendan and Dr Allan have to say on the matter?
