"Does the Hon Lady agree that providing calorific information, as opposed to just the unit content of alcohol, on a bottle might have a significant impact on a large number of women who care a lot about the calories that they consume? If that was set out on alcohol packaging, it might help to alleviate the problems that she mentions".
So quoth our Nationalist MP, Angus Brendan, in a debate in the House of Commons on 17 July on Health. We must say that we really struggle to discern what he is on about but, then again, Angus Brendan has never made much sense to us anyway. This boy is on another planet altogether.
We never found out what the Hon Lady's reply was most likely because, like ourselves, she hadn't a clue what he was on about.
What was Angus Brendan saying? Was he talking about calor gas, or just hot air?
