Michael Matheson MSP (the man from nowhere) is a Holyrood politician and Health Secretary. He has been in a lot of trouble lately and rightly so. His pathetic statement at Holyrood yesterday where he put on a trembling crying act for the cameras only added to his woes.
He claimed - successfully, as it turns out - something in the region of £11,000 for use of a government ipad while abroad. Despite hitherto maintaining that the cost was wholly legitimate, Mr Matheson tells us now that the sum was incurred by his son for watching football on his government ipad!
In our view, this tawdry little episode is common-law fraud on the public purse. Mr Matheson should now do the decent thing, resign and face the criminal consequences.
What a shower of spivs, wide-boys and idiots running the country.
