What the hell is it with lawyers?  Are they all born stupid,  or does their training and practice make them so?  We ask because of the whitewash job James Hamilton SC  made of the complaint against The Stalinista in breaking the Ministerial Code by lying to the Scottish Parliament.

James Hamilton SC (Senior Counsel) is a former Director of Public Prosecutions in the Republic of Ireland.  He is also one of the Scottish Government's advisers on the Ministerial Code in Scotland. He has been about for a long time so that naivety or lack of experience doesn't come into it so there must be something else.  That The Stalinista lied to Parliament there is no doubt so let's look at the facts.

On 08 January 2019 The Stalinista told the Parliament that the first she knew of the allegations concerning her predecessor as First Minister,  Alex Salmond,  was on  02 April 2018 when he called to see her at her home.  She was lying on that point as Mr Salmond's Chief of Staff,  Mr Aberdein,  had told her of the allegations some days before,  on 29 March to be precise.  Let's face it, in the real world no one could possibly fail to recall when they were first made aware of such serious allegations and most certainly not a First Minister whose recall even of the most trivial event can go back some five thousand years.

In his Report,  Mr Whitewash stated that 'it is regrettable that the First Minister's statement on 08 January 2019 did not include a reference to the meeting with Mr Aberdein on 29 March.  In my opinion,  however her explanation for why she did not recall this meeting when giving her account to Parliament ,  while inevitably likely to be greeted with suspicion,  even scepticism by some,  is not impossible'.  Really, Mr Hamilton,  really?  What world do you inhabit?

Mr Hamilton-Whitewash, your reputation is in tatters and all over a poisonous,  compulsive liar.  No wonder lawyers get the reputation they deserve.
