TOMMY SHEPPARD MP

We see from the news this morning that Tommy Sheppard MP has been awarded - via one of his clubs - the sum of £250,000 by Fiona Hyslop, the Scottish Government Minister responsible for some 'Culture' brief or other. Add to that some £100,00 from the UK Government and Tommy's quids in.

Tommy is better known as the SNP MP for somewhere down Edinburgh way.  The irony of a high-profile SNP politician taking money from the Chancellor of the Exchequer is completely lost on the SNP Government.

However, we have nothing personally against Tommy,  who appears one of the more likeable SNP politicians,  and we wish him well.  But Fiona Hyslop is as clueless as they come.
