Today, we read somewhere or other the utterly grotesque salaries the BBC is paying some of its staff. We had to read this several times over to make sure that someone wasn't playing a joke.
Gary Lineker is paid £1.7 million for fronting a football show! A woman called Zoe Ball, of whom we had never heard, is paid £1.4 million for Lord only knows what! Huw Edwards is paid £470,000 just for reading the bloody news! Fiona Bruce - a featherweight if ever there was one - is paid £460,000! Even Kirsty Wark is paid £220,00 - but, again, for what?
The BBC Licence Fee is £157.50 a year. We know now where our money is going. The sooner this racket is stopped the better for us all.
